"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." - Philippians 4:6
Dear God,
We thank you for Your support of the St John’s Home for Elderly Persons over the past many years, since it commenced operations in 1958.
We ask that You will continue to uphold the Residents with regard to their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.
We also ask that You will fill the hearts of the staff with compassion for the Residents and provide them with professional skills as well as imbue in them a spirit of respect, excellence, perseverance, physical, mental and spiritual refreshment to undertake the often challenging task of caring for the elderly persons in the Home.
Please also uphold the Home’s volunteers in order that they will continue to keep up their good work with the Residents, as well as to be able to have adequate time for their own family members and friends.
We thank You and we ask this in Jesus’ most precious name, Amen.
A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot.
