I believe Autumn has its attractiveness and beauty. We don’t have all we need and we depend on, and hopefully contribute to, others to make our lives better. 

I also see the Residents contributing to others, be it a Resident helping to wheel another Resident who is on a wheelchair, or when a Resident gives a big smile or say a ‘thank you’ in appreciation. 

I also see the Residents contributing to others when they interact joyfully with younger people, some even younger by four or five decades. Perhaps that’s what made one student who visited the Home recently exclaimed, “I enjoy seeing the old folks smile.” A month ago, I went to the Home in a car when it was raining heavily. What a surprise I had when a Resident brought an umbrella to give me shelter.

It’s not Summer always. Autumn will come. But I believe it has its attractiveness and beauty which are not seen in Summer.
